Gourmet Crock Pot Chicken

Honey Lemon Chicken 500  Again, this is a generic picture.  Just for a visual.  NOT THE REAL DEAL.     So let’s talk about the gem at hand!
A couple weeks ago my Kroger had a 3 day meat sale where I picked up a couple of small, whole chickens for less than $4 each!!!  I’m sort of kicking myself for not picking up a couple more.

So here is what I did with my first whole chicken.

**Cleaning is a must*

Dropped it in the crock pot before work.  (on low; it’s a long day)
Fresh lemon- added 3 slices to the top of the chicken.   Shoved the rest of the lemon IN the chicken.  I’ve done this several times and it makes a huge difference in the taste!
Add salt and pepper to the top of that bad boy.
I had fresh dill available so I laid that out on top of the chicken.   My co-worker uses this recipe and she does rosemary.   I feel like several fresh, strong, herbs would work here.  (Rosemary, Thyme, Dill)  Just lay your fresh herb on top.

My next ingredient is a new friend of mine.   Made by Wish Bone.  It’s called EVOO infused dressing.  PIcked this up at Jungle Jims for just $1.99.  I purchased the garlic basil infused.   Poured this on.

Came home to an “are you kidding me???” dinner.
