All things potato!

We’re a potato family; we have some form of potatoes with dinner, at least a few nights a week.  And for my hubby, he insists on “real” potatoes. No flakes in a box in this house.
But don’t we all get tired of going from mashed to baked?

Here are just a few simple ways to change it up and still get your potato crave on.

images      This is one of my favorite potato recipes because well, there is no recipe!  This one, you can pretty much make it up as you go along and you’ll never loose.
I start with a glass baking dish. Make sure to spray it with cooking spray!  You will regret it if you don’t!

After washing potatoes, slice THIN.
You’re going to layer your potatoes in the dish with layers of flavors.
You’ll want to start out by adding a few pats of butter.  (Butter never hurt anyone besides a bypass patient)
Next?  That’s up to you.
I LOVE to do combinations of :
Minced garlic
Parmesan cheese
Red pepper flakes (go lightly!)
** MUST have salt and pepper, no matter what**
Sliced onion
Try different cheeses!  How about blue cheese crumbles??
Sprinkle on a tiny bit of ranch dressing
Sprinkle on ranch powder

Bake at 375 for around 30-35 minutes.

The combinations are endless and it’s something new to bring to the table.
Let me know your crazy potato combo!

potato  This potato is a bit hit in our house.  And it’s simple.
After washing your potato, you’re going cut deep slices in it, almost cutting through the potato but be careful not to.
Next you’re going to drizzle your fav EVOO over the potato (just a little)
Now in the slices you are going to want to add
Very thin slices of butter
Parmesan cheese
Shredded sharp cheddar
Sea salt
Crumbled bacon. BUT! Only if you’re using bacon, not bacon bits.

Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes.

cheers!
