I admit, I am not a good house keeper. Never really have been. As a child I was always grounded for having a messy room. And now that I’m all grown up and it’s my house? Nothing has changed.
Sure, I keep the dishes clean and put away and there is never more than one load, if that, of laundry waiting. But when it comes to deep cleaning- windows, baseboards, door knobs……..there always seems to be something better to do.
When it comes to my kitchen, it’s an embaressing mess. It never seems clean enough. I mean, it’s where we prepare our food; where we store our food. And when you have teenagers and pets in the house……yuck!!
*** Thank God for self cleaning ovens! But what about the oven door?? OMG!!! Do you ever look in the area beyond the glass of the door and wonder, “what the heck?!?!” Me too!! I immediately open the oven to discover I can’t scrub that away.
There is an area some where between the door and the oven that is untouchable and gross at the same time.
I couldn’t let it go another minute. I had to figure out how to get in to that unreachable area. What I’m about to show you is disturbing. It’s not for the weak.
No, this is not a spider web. This is actual dirt trapped in an oven door!!!
You’re going to LOVE solution!!!
- Open your oven door. Look for this: They are there and you won’t have to search. Something you never noticed before.
- All you have to do is unscrew these. Yes it’s that simple.
It separates the inner over door from the outer allowing you to clean. Takes about 2 minutes total.
